Is asparatame cancer causing and if it is why is it in childrens food and medicine>?

Honestly everything "causes cancer" in large amounts. They say asparatame causes cancer, splenda is linked to liver cancer, and sugar is linked to obesity and high blood pressure. So I guess we get to pick how to die...
